Why is the programme changing?

We know that travel has evolved, and we want to ensure our programme keeps up with your shifting needs. Don’t worry — we’re still focused on being generous and rewarding from the start! Stay tuned for exciting updates on what’s to come!

When will the new programme start?

Our new programme will go into effect in early December 2021.

Will I still have the same membership number?

Yes, your membership number will remain the same.

Will the new programme remain free to join?

Yes, the new DISCOVERY programme will remain free to join and participate in.

What happens to stays I have already booked for dates after the new programme launch? Will I still be recognised and rewarded?

Yes, some of the existing benefits may be modified slightly, but you will still receive the same recognition you have come to expect as a DISCOVERY member on your upcoming stays after the new programme launches. You’ll also be rewarded in a new and exciting way. Stay tuned for more information! ​

Will my current tier level roll over into the new programme?

Gold
If you are currently Gold level and have stayed at a DISCOVERY hotel within the last three years, you will roll over to our enhanced Gold level. If you are currently Gold and have not stayed with us within the last three years, your new status will be Silver.

Platinum and Black
If you are currently Platinum level, your tier status will remain the same and will be extended through the end of next year (2022). If you are currently Black level, you will remain at the same tier level under the new tier name Titanium. Your status will also be extended through the end of next year (2022).

When will my new status take effect?

Your new status will take effect in early December. Stay tuned for notifications!

Will my current nights roll over into the new programme?

Yes, the tier nights you have accumulated will remain on your account and will continue to count toward your nights stayed in this calendar year.

Will my Local Experience awards roll over into the new programme?

No, Local Experience awards will not roll over. Any Local Experiences not redeemed by 21 November 2021 will be replaced with an exciting new benefit of the same value that offers more flexibility. Stay tuned for more information!

When will my hotel spend start counting towards my tier level?

Spend will start being used as a criteria for tier level advancement beginning in 2022.

When will I be able to start earning DISCOVERY Dollars (D$)?

D$ will be available in early December! Stay tuned!

How will I be able to access my DISCOVERY Dollars (D$)?

When you begin earning D$, they will automatically be applied to your account. You can view and manage your D$ balance by signing in to your account at ghadiscovery.com or on the GHA DISCOVERY app (available for iOS and Android).

Additional updates will be shared with you directly via email, so make sure the email address on your account is up to date. We will also continue to update this FAQ page.
